DESCRIPTION
This course brings delegates up to date with the new Consumer Insurance (Disclosure & Representations) Act 2012.
OBJECTIVES
At the end of this course delegates will:
- Understand why the new Act has come about
- Understand the meaning of reasonable care in regard to disclosure and representation
- Understand the definition of qualifying misrepresentations and also remedies
- Understand Warranties and Basis of the Contract Clauses in accordance with the Act
- Understand the definition of consumer insurance in regard to group insurance and insurance on life of another
- Understand the definition of an agent in relation to the Act and whether they represent the consumer or the insurer.
