OBJECTIVES

At the end of this course delegates will:

  • Understand the meaning of reasonable care in regard to disclosure and representation
  • Understand the definition of qualifying misrepresentations and also remedies
  • Understand Warranties and Basis of the Contract Clauses in accordance with the Act
  • Understand the definition of consumer insurance in regard to group insurance and insurance on life of another
  • Understand the definition of an agent in relation to the Act and whether they represent the consumer or the insurer.
